If you are in your final year of school and you intend to start your undergraduate (Bachelors) degree in Australia immediately after completion of your current school program, then there are some additional steps you need to take besides reading the information about planning and preparing your application package for lodgement to the AEC, you will need to additionally:
- include your current transcript at high school even though it may not be the last transcript of your high school.
- include a letter from your Guidance Counselor, Academic Advisor or Principal which states clearly that you are currently in the final year of your high school, the approximate date when you will graduate high school and any other information that suggests you are in good standing at your high school and expected to graduate successfully. (In this case, provided the current transcript you supply has shown good progress, you will in all likelihood receive an offer from an Australian/NZ university which is `conditional' upon you successfully completing your high school. At the least, this will give you some guarantee that at the conclusion of your high school, you have your admission to an Australian university guaranteed as long as you have completed your high school successfully.
- include a cover letter (from you) which states clearly that you are currently at high school and that in additional to the application for the university, you have included your current transcript and a letter from your guidance/academic counselor/advisor and/or Principal confirming the completion date of your study and that you are looking for some confirmation that you are admissable.
