Australian and New Zealand universities have varying admission requirements ranging from a minimum of 2.5 GPA upwards. Most require students to hold at least sophomore status at the home school but there is some flexibility with this, particularly where students show exemplary academic work and supported with references from Faculty.
The main criteria for study abroad is that:
- students are already pursuing university studies at their Home School. (Some Host Universities will accept community college students.)
- students hold at least sophomore status although there is some flexibility with this, particularly where students show exemplary academic work and/or are supported with references from Faculty
- students have a minimum cum 2.5 GPA and upwards. (Acceptance depends on each Host University’s entry requirements)
The My Study Australia website has been created for the Australian Education Connection (AEC) to provide students, parents and advisers information about semester abroad, year abroad, full degrees, transfer and internship programs to Australia and New Zealand. The website provides minimum GPA requirements for individual Australian universities - check each University Profile from the Profile Menu.
