Transfer Students...

If you are currently studying college level classes, but want to transfer to an Australian or New Zealand university so that you complete your studies there, then the following information applies to you.

If you are currently at community college, simply click here and you will get the information you require about additional steps you need to follow.

If you are at a university or any other academic school where you are currently undertaking college level classes then there are a few additional steps you must take for the completion of your application process:

  1. Read all the information under how to apply for a degree and preparing your application package for lodgment to the AEC. You will need to follow the same guidelines as those that have no prior college level work; and
  2. You will need to provide a letter giving details of your current university/school and the course you are (currently) undertaking. If the classes you are currently undertaking are not on your current transcript as `current’ or `presently enrolled in’ then you need to also provide a list of classes that you are currently undertaking so that your transcript and your list of classes you are currently undertaking provides us with a complete picture of what classes you would have completed before going abroad.
  3. If it is possible, you may provide us with a letter from your Guidance Counselor or faculty stating what you have achieved to date in your program.
  4. If you are going to request for `credit for the subjects' you have already undertaken or undertaking at your current university/school you need to be very clear in the information you provide as the overseas university needs to make a determination on how much credit you will be allocated for your prior work. Therefore, it is essential you provide your transcript and any other information you can provide about classes you are still undertaking.

Note that universities will determine how much credit only after you lodge an application and all supporting documentation.

Again, the documents listed here are additional to the documents requested at how to apply for a degree.
